So, Follow my Blog Friday is a meme hosted by Parajunkee and AlisonCanRead. It's where you answer the weekly question and then link yourself and you Q: What is the longest book you’ve read? What are your favorite 600+ page reads?
A: So, the longest book I've ever read (that I can think of at the moment) is Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell. It clocks in at about 1,000 and some + pages! It's a pretty good read though if you can look past the blatant romanticism and racism of pre and post-Civil war South...ahem. Anyways, some of my fave 600+ reads are Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, and all of the Lord of the Rings books! :)

I agree - he HP series was fantastic - didn't even seem like the books were that big.

ReplyDeleteI loved the movie Gone with the Wind but never got around to reading the book (which I know is blasphemous!) I'm hoping to get to it one day, but I'm such a slow reader I feel like it would take me 2 months to finish it!

I loved Gone With the Wind. Mainly because I loved Rhett Butler. Yes there's some racism and all that but the book is a product of it's time.
