For Cricket Thompson, a summer like
this one will change everything. A summer spent on Nantucket with her best
friend, Jules Clayton, and the indomitable Clayton family. A summer when she’ll
make the almost unattainable Jay Logan hers. A summer to surpass all
dreams.
Some of this turns out to be true. Some of it doesn’t.
When Jules and her family suffer a devastating tragedy that forces the girls apart, Jules becomes a stranger whom Cricket wonders whether she ever really knew. And instead of lying on the beach working on her caramel-colored tan, Cricket is making beds and cleaning bathrooms to support herself in paradise for the summer.
But it’s the things Cricket hadn’t counted on--most of all, falling hard for someone who should be completely off-limits--that turn her dreams into an exhilarating, bittersweet reality.
A beautiful future is within her grasp, and Cricket must find the grace to embrace it. If she does, her life could be the perfect shade of Nantucket blue. (Summary Courtesy of Goodreads)

First the cover is lovely, with the ocean in the background :) The story just sounds really intriguing. My favorite shade of blue is a darker shade. And here's my email: butterflypetals7(at(gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThanks for this chance :)
I also loved this cover and like how even though the couple is a big part of the cover, their place on it off to the side draws attention to the beautiful ocean and boats in the distance. And I can attest to the fact that this book is very good! :)
DeleteSuch a creative contest! I love NANTUCKET BLUE. Such a beautifully written, fun read.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :) I wanted to re-enter the world of contests with a bang and since I was given this ARC I felt like I should share it with someone else.
DeleteOh, and favorite shade of blue: royal blue
ReplyDeleteI have a bit of an obsession, collecting ARCs and this sounds like an excellent book and I would be honored to add it to my bookshelf!! my favorite shade of blue is and aqua blue (: and my email address is hannahdonahue6@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I would collect my ARCs too if I had the room Hannah! :) But I do love to share the books with people who want to read them and are maybe on a budget, or have limited libraries/access. And it is such a good book that I had to share the love! LOL
DeleteNantucket Blue really just sounds like an intriguing story. Is it bad for me to say I'm interested because of the friends being split apart? (Oh well.) And off limits love? My, my, my.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I really have a favorite shade of blue. I don't really do favorites because I'm a fan of everything, generally. Haha.

Conflict makes for an interesting plot, so I get where you're coming from! :P I also have a hard time picking a favorite shade of blue, as they are all blue-tiful*. The off-limits love was done in an awesome way as well. It developed totally naturally. A book to check out, even if you don't win. :)
Delete*This blogger likes bad puns and popsicle stick jokes. Humoring her is a good idea, as she is most likely 99% insane. This is a warning from the FDA.
I've heard great things about this book and just want to read it!! I'd love the extra swag, but I really just want the book in any form!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite blue is a deep royal blue-- it was called "horizon" blue at David's Bridal when I made my bridesmaids wear it last summer. ;)
I looked up that blue Mary, and I love it! :) And I know the book is always the best thing about a giveaway, right? Good luck!
