Q: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to get your hands on any particular book?
A: So, I am NOT AT ALL crazy! I have never done anything the slightest bit out there to get a particular book. I will say that I'm persistent and will continue submitting requests if I don't get my way the first time on NetGalley. I get something of a murderous shine to my eye and become really stubborn about it. Other than that, I am deathly boring! :)
No worries I'm pretty boring as well.

Ha! That's funny because sometimes I've been known to get that shine in my eye as well. At least when it comes to Netgalley books!
ReplyDeleteThanks for following Pretty in Fiction. Following you back!
LOL! does the re-reguesting work? ;)

Sometimes it actually does work! I got 'Scarlet' by A.C. Gaughen that way! :)
DeleteAwesome answer. I love that you request multiple times on NetGalley. I will start doing that too if I don't get my way. Thanks for stopping by my FF. =]

I am glad I am not the only one who re-request titles from NetGalley. I usually only do it, if I have increased my blog stats. Sometimes I am lucky enough to get titles I re-request. Thanks for stopping by my blog, now following back!
ReplyDeleteI can't say I have done anything to crazy. Except for going at midnight to get my hands on 'Bloodlines'.
ReplyDeleteYou can find my FF here! CLICKY HERE! =D. I'm a New Follower.
A murderous shine? oh that had me giggling.
ReplyDeleteI'm following you now too :)
I re-request titles, too, but I noticed that some publishers will just ignore my second request haha.

Haha, you're awesome to be so determined on NetGalley! I usually don't request again from those who turn me down, unless there's this uber-awesomesauce book popping up there, and I'm talking really uber, lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, following you back.
Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteHi there, new follower stopping on by!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I know what you mean about the NetGalley rejections-- I don't get it! It's an eGalley, what's the big deal about giving bloggers a sneak peak?! I'm sure there are licensing things where they can only allow so many people to view a title at a time, but dude they reject me ALL the time and I have no idea why, it gets really annoying lol
Anyways! I would love if you stopped by to visit me, you can see my FF answer for this week at the link below ;)

Just so you know, your librarian lives in fear of the murderous gleam in your eye. She also takes your name in vain sometimes, because you get ahead of her on hold lists...
ReplyDeleteYou are one of the few people who need not fear the muderous gleam! And it's okay if you take my name in vain, I think it's funny! :)
DeleteHopping through. I haven't kept trying with Netgalley. Does it make a difference?
ReplyDeleteMy Hop
I'm already following you. Check out my FF is you haven't followed yet please.
